Château Cantelauze, which means song of the lark in Occitan, is situated within the commune of Duravel in the Lot district and continues its historical dedication to wine production.

From the beginning of our project, built on our years of experience acquired in champagne, we aim to leave our mark on the cultivation of our vines and the production of our wines.

Today we are moving little by little towards the achievement of our goal to reveal the individuality of our wines.

We have taken time to get to know our vineyards and to create vintages which reflect the goodness of the soil, the method of production is specific to each wine.

During our first wine tastings we discovered the richness and nuances of the Malbec cepage from the Cahors region.

We have decided to separate the different cepages and have selected the Malbec cepage to stand alone for all wines with the appellation Cahors vintages.

We have chosen to give precedence to dedicacy rather than strength and to leave the wine to express itself without the influence of wood and its dominating tones
